The Northern Gold Coast is about to feel the culinary and entertainment love like never before; Moonlight Night Markets will open in Coomera on Friday and Saturday nights from 10 June, serving up the food, drinks, and good times the Northern Gold Coast deserves.
The edgy offering of tastes, scents and tunes will be in a location well-known to the North; Dreamworld’s Main Street will moonlight as a night market spot, accessible by a small $2 entry fee but not shrouded in the theme park vibes you’re used to. Think festoon lighting, epic eats, craft brews and live music, offering the perfect spot to kick back and enjoy a relaxed weekend evening.
With no rides, but plenty of good times, the night markets will lend themselves not only to a fun night out, but also the perfect spot for a birthday, night out or special event, with custom packages available in the most unique of food market spaces.
CEO, Greg Yong urges Southeast Queenslanders and visitors to forget what they think they know about the park and step into an entirely new night market environment.
“We’re bringing an entirely new offering with food, drinks and entertainment to the Northern Gold Coast, which we feel is deserving of an epic new evening entertainment venue”, said Mr. Yong.
“As the day turns to night, the park’s Main Street will transform into Moonlight – a pumping venue serving up unreal street food, delicious drinks, and live entertainment every weekend. Whether you’re heading for after work drinks or taking the kids out for dinner, there will be something for everyone to enjoy eating, drinking, and listening to.”
The venue will open from 5 – 9 pm every Friday and Saturday night, offering over various stalls featuring international cuisines, local favourites, a variety of beverages and desserts that can be meandered through and enjoyed as guests enjoy live music from local artists.
The initiative has garnered support within the community, with a positive endorsement from Divisional Councillor and Deputy Mayor Donna Gates.
“The northern Gold Coast is family-central and I know every hungry young kid loves a food van,’’ said Divisional Councillor and Deputy Mayor Donna Gates.
“The atmosphere will be fantastic with the bright lights a backdrop to the incredible rides at Dreamworld. And while the rides aren’t part of the night markets, it will really set the scene for a magical place to be.’’
Officially opening from 5pm on 10 June with a bang, Moonlight Night Market looks forward to letting the good food and great nights roll. Moonlight Night Market is looking for food trucks to join the project, if you’re interested, head to the website to apply!
