Lo'koala'motion... Dreamworld Mini March update 6-3-2022

Updated: May 16

The team dropped into Dreamworld to get an update on the various projects going on around the park. There are lots of little things happening around the park, be it major work such as the Railway rebuild, or little things such as garden refreshes. We take a look at some of the active projects happening during our visit.

Refreshed Gardens

One of the first things we noticed when entering the park was a bunch of new topiary out the front of Kenny’s Chick n Wings.

The area around Steel taipan continues to grow in, and with time will get better, thats the beauty of nature!

Many theme parks around the world feature gardens to complete the story of their themed areas. We hope Dreamworlds natural asset, its Gardens continues to get this much deserved love.

Dreamworld Railway Refurbishment

Refurbishment of the Railway infrastructure is continuing.

A bit different from the buildings original look, the Central Park Station’s new colour scheme is coming along nicely. Its refreshing to have a co-ordinated colour scheme easy on the eyes again.

Track work on the northern end of the train station is mostly complete, however some newly placed pegs suggest there is more to occur in this space.

Track Work is now focused on where the spur line. The old brick fence which formed part of the theming in the Rivertown days is getting refurbished.

The fence was a Dreamworld original, with potted plants on each column. Throughout the years, this fence became in a state of disrepair, the pots broke, fence palings broke, and the area was out of reach for the average guests. It will be interesting to see what happens in this location.

Some ground markings have popped up along the train line..

And in a spot where track formerly ran..

Koala display refurbishment

The koala exhibit is getting a much needed refurbishment. Among other things, it appears as though the viewing area is getting an updated guest barrier.

The mesh seen here is often used for sculpting difference surfaces, be it fake rock or fake trees.

We look forward to seeing how this refurbishment changes the exhibition.
