After closing due to a snap 8 day covid-19 related lockdown, Dreamworld became the first Gold Coast theme park to reopen its gates on Monday 9-8-2021. We popped in to check out the progress of the parks various projects.
It was great to see the park back open, staff at work and people smiling what is a tough time. It was also great to see the park so fresh feeling, with progress on many projects continuing during the lockdown.
New period style street lighting has been installed around main street.
Steel Taipan work continues on the rock tunnels, and work has commenced on cleaning the site up.
A new photo tower has been installed next to the launch track.
It appears they are preparing the site for a footpath between the pylons.
Tree’s have been planted on part of the old Log Ride site.
Some fencing is being installed on the old Log Ride site, next to the dingo exhibit. Could this be the start of something new?
Shrek and his carousel are being set back up on site.
The Claw is undergoing major maintenance, as is Shockwave.
