The school holiday crowds have returned enmass to Dreamworld in what feels like the first time since 2020.
During the morning, queues like this are seen at the front, snaking in and around the parks City Hall entry building.
Mick Doohan gets a trim!
The trees and scenery around Mick Doohans Motorcoaster are getting trimmed, or even removed. This work is changing the view of the ride atleast from the outside.
Not only have some of the trees around the ride been trimmed, some have been completely removed, including those inside the middle of the ride layout.
Giant Drop
Over nextdoor at the Giant Drop, a stack of reinforcing steel has been delivered. With the ride set to close April 25 for a major upgrade, we wonder if this is a sign of things to come?
Dreamworld Railway
Whilst the main track is now connnected, there is still a lot of work to be done on the railway before it returns.
Central Park Station is still undergoing the final touches of its renovation.
New signage has appeared above the buildings entry.
Most of the fencing around the station has been removed, except for this little bit at the corner of the building. We anticipate the fencing will return.
The plant Pots have also been updated tk for the new colour scheme of the train station.
Work continues behind the Escape from Madagascar coaster, however no new track has appeared here yet. The brick wall that was once part of a fence for the eating area of Rivertown has been given some love, having now been cement rendered,
The other side of the newly rendered brick walls. These walls were in a bad state prior to construction on the railway. It is great to see some things restored for further use.
The Dreamworld Wildlife train station is now undergoing some work. Trees have been trimmed, fencing on the platform has been removed.
It is great to see the park so busy, yet major projects continuing.
Street Food Festival has been extended by a week, now ending on April 24. If you haven’t had a chance to experience it yet, you now have extra time to get to Dreamworid to check it out.
