WhiteWater World is set to re-open with a splash ahead of the September holidays, following its first seasonal closure.
Preparations have taken place in past months, with a significant focus on ensuring maintenance activity and refurbishments were completed during the park’s seasonal closure, resulting in improved ride availability for guests when it’s hot and sunny. In addition to park improvements, WhiteWater World has also created over 100 Gold Coast jobs. Roles in aquatic safety, slide operation and guest services have been filled ahead of the park’s September opening.
Operations Director, Michelle Erasmus is proud of the park’s contribution to South-East Queensland jobs and is excited to both welcome back existing team members who were seconded to roles within Dreamworld and also to welcome new team members to the WhiteWater World family.
“It’s been so fantastic to see so many applications and to be able to offer employment to over 100 Queenslanders. We’re incredibly excited to kick off WhiteWater World’s warmer seasons with an enthusiastic team that can’t wait to help our guests make new memories at the park.”
“The team have undergone rigorous training, including the Comprehensive Aquatic Risk Management Program (CARMP) developed by leading aquatic safety supplier, Jeff Ellis International (JEI), and are prepared to offer our guests a safe and fun water park experience.”
The park’s re-opening will be celebrated by a Splash Party, taking place on Saturday the 18th and Sunday the 19th of September, sponsored by Billabong, Quiksilver and Roxy. Guests will be able to enjoy DJ entertainment, games and prize giveaways, all free with their entry.
Guests are encouraged to take advantage of the $119 Locals Annual Pass which offers entry to Dreamworld, WhiteWater World and SkyPoint Observation Deck, plus plenty of additional bonuses.
